Just listened to it. From the start of the first song, it was was muck. Was on track 4 before I even realised I was on another song. Genuinely had to restart it at track 2 to make sure I hadn't accidentally skipped them, I hadn't.

Slow, dreary music with random words thrown in, followed by another dreary beat, with different words randomly thrown in.

It's a genuine struggle to take AM seriously, unfortunately. They are worse than Coldplay with their change of look per album.

View attachment 46193 iceage - beyondless. Very underrated Danish band imo. Used to be a hardcore/punk band, but have brought in more traditional rock sounds of late. This is probably their most accessible album. The singers got proper presence. Great live.

Oh FFS. A journalist I really like said this is the first AM album he has liked. Going to have to listen.

I disagree, but I guess that's music in general!

For me, it's getting better with every listen. Anyone that says it sounds like Humbug has clearly never listened to Humbug.

It's good, it's different and i'm enjoying it truth be told.

Just heard the awful news about Scott from Frightened Rabbit. They were one of the soundtracks to my teenage years, glad I got the chance to see them live back then, it was brilliant.

Depression is absolutely horrible, the worst disease on earth. Rest easy, Scott.
