Just listened to/watched TOTP Christmas special 1983. Very nostalgic performances from the likes of The Cure, Belle Stars, Siouxsie and the Banshees (Dear Prudence, what a great song that is), and Long Hot Summer by the Style Council has just come on. Find myself wishing I could be transported back to December 1983. Not only would I be 22 again, but, totally unexpectedly, my club was about to take me on the most magical ride that would take in 4 trophies, 6 finals and, I think, 8 Wembley appearances over the next 3 and a bit years.

Funny thing is, the music feels like yesterday. The football though feels like a lifetime ago.
