I'm a bit more of a pub-rock person myself but as a prog-rock fan I'm wondering what you think of these who featured in the BBCs Best Unsigned Band series?

Not my cup of tea mate.
The thing about the top prog rock bands is they are exceptional musicians the band above does nothing for me.

This was the album for me mate.
Still play it regularly and it wouldn't be dated at all if it was released tomorrow.
" This is the day " is one of the best songs ever written imo.
Best listened to outside on a glorious day, with ice cold beers and a spliffle

I think Infected for me because of a time, a place, and politically it was so astute.
This is the day is one of the most happy, singalong miserable songs ever![]()
Spot on.
The tempo is so upbeat and mellow, particularly with the accordion, but the lyrics are insanely depressing - which is why it's so wonderful.
They used to play " Infected " in the State on Thursday nights ( Indie Dance night ). It was one of the songs that used to cause absolute carnage in there, along with " Trampoline " by Julian Cope, " She Sells Sanctuary " by the Cult and " Temple " by the Sisters of Mercy - very very happy days![]()
I hear the State I think of this![]()
