Yeah I have to agree, Burst Apart was good but nothing special. Familiars, on the other hand, is a spectacular album in my opinion. It flows beautifully with boss horn sections and class melodies throughout.

I've liked every Antlers release less and less unfortunately, and the latest record is the most painfully homogenous thing I've ever heard. I've tried about 5 times and never made my way through it, I find it beyond tedious. The songs themselves aren't terrible just average, and the sluggish pace the album takes I just hate.
The subject matter, the narrative and the complexity of Hospice are what make it so continually rewarding. I'm not sure how they'll ever come anywhere near replicating that.
