What are you currently listening to?

Going to be lynched for this but the album i have been listening to recently and been enjoying is.....

Fall out boy- rock and roll.

Took me by surprise to be honest. Used to like them years ago, went off them by the third album came out and thought nothing of them until i listened to one of their new songs. Plus the added bonus was all hteir songs have videos made that tell a (not very good) story so it was an easy way to hear the album.

not claiming them to be some fantastic band, just think the album has some great songs. highlights if anyone was even interested is 'just one yesterday' featuring foxes (no idea who that is), alone together, the pheonix and light em up.

Yeah, between the new Sun Kil Moon, Real Estate, and Cloud Nothings, I'm surprised I've been listening to anything else, but I've had this in my head all afternoon:

Much prefer his/their other albums, this one is like an angst-y version of The Strokes, got bored after a few songs.

To me it feels like he's going back to his original sound, which I prefer. The last album was very good, but it was flat compared to the pop he infused in his early wall of sound song structures.

It's not as lo-fi/fuzzy as the Cloud Nothings s/t and the vocals are much softer, think it's the vocals on this i can't get on with.

Agree with Sun Kil Moon (lyrics are great, any idea how much is true?) and Real Estate. Those two and new St Vincent probably my fave 'guitar based' albums so far.

Just downloaded Perfect Pu$sy, heard good things about that and on Capture Tracks (one of my favourite labels)

From what I've read, a lot of it is true, including having 2 relatives die from aerosol can explosions in trashcans, but I'm sure he's taken some creative liberty with some of it.
