What are you currently listening to?

One of the best dreamy pop albums of the year. A lot of M83 vibes, but they've pulled it off excellently.

Brick & Mortar - "Bangs". A total revelation. Friend suggested it to me and I spend all day with it yesterday. Blown away.

New to this thread so maybe I should just look through it but can any of you lids point me in the direction of some decent new indie/rock stuff to get into? I'm so out of touch at the moment, could do with a few artist names/albums to have a gander at. Cheers

LOL that's pretty much this whole thread. There's a bunch of us with that taste in music and we post regularly.

What stuff are you currently in to then SunKing? We've all been raving about Volcano Choir's album lately if you've heard that?

Like I say, I'm well out of touch. Not heard of Volcano Choir either. I was listening to a bit of 'In Guards We Trust' - Guards which I thought was decent

I wasn't trying to be snide, I was just laughing because you've come to the right place.

Volcano Choir is awesome. It's Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) on vocals backed by another Milwaukee, Wisconsin band called a "A Collection Of Bees". It's well and truly amazing.

Scroll back through, and you'll get some great ideas. Tell us what you do like and I'm sure we can point you in some new directions as well.

haha, I didn't think you were pal. I'll make sure to have a look through.

I used to go to gigs all the time a few years ago as I prefer the smaller venues seeing the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Maximo and Eagles of Death Metal and I miss those types of nights. Last gig I went to was the arctic monkeys last month which was good but not ideal in such a big venue surrounded by whoppers. I tend to only get to see more 'well known' artists now as I've been a bit lazy in search for current music.

Have a crack at this one. Coming from one of IMO, the best indie rock albums of the year. More special as it was their debut. Incredible live band too.
