Ah the summer, a time where we miss footie so much we read the littlest thing into everything, ill start then shall I?

Found it a little strange that in Moyesys comments about Grav and Wessles leaveing, no mention was made of Fernandes or Gardner!

Do we read into this that potential signings are in the pipeline? Conspirocey theorists do you your worst!

David Moyes has confirmed Stefan Wessels and Thomas Gravesen will be leaving Goodison this summer.

The German goalkeeper was signed from Cologne last summer on a one season contract and has acted as cover for first choice keeper Tim Howard this term.
He has made seven appearances in an Everton shirt this term, including two Premier League starts when Howard was injured.

Gravesen has endured a campaign curtailed by injury problems, starting three games and making eight appearances from the bench - netting one of the successful penalties in the shoot-out defeat to Fiorentina in the Uefa Cup.

Moyes said: "I would like to thank Stefan Wessels who, after today, will be leaving us. His level of professionalism has been a credit to him and he has been a great man to have around the club.
"Thomas Gravesen will also depart following the completion of his season-long loan. He deserves thanks for both his spells here and we wish him well for the future."

just wondering that myself. id be disappointed if we didn't sign fernandes this time round, hes going to be class one day. i get the feeling if we get him in quickly and he gets a good pre-season he will have a great season next year. not sure of Gardner though, not seen him play.

Don't hold your breath mate.

I think he'd be an excellent investment for next season. He represents precisely the kind of player we need to be bringing in now. However procrastination is likely to remain the name of the game for goodison transfer ventures ..again!

I can't say I'd be overly excited about Gardner. He's been out for so long now I'd wonder if he could step up to support where we're heading.

Manny would be a nice addition to the squad... and we still haven't seen him for a whole season, he came to us once again on loan after a long time on the sideline. He showed again in fits and spurs his ability, but I think he would benefit from a whole preseason with his teammates and come in from the start.

Gardner I'm unsure of... Sure there is better players out there for us, so I'd say look elsewhere for needed depth in the backline.

Have to agree that Manny would be a great start to the transfer window But Gardner is not really what I'm hoping for with his injuries hed probably spend more time with Shandy the in the squad
