I thought it was great to see a crowd of 48000 for an early round in the EFL cup. On the tv you could make out a few seats here and the block of seats in the east upper. Its the same at all stadiums that have plenty of corporate seats that folks leave early and come back well after the restart. One of the reasons for building a new ground was to increase corporate facilities that would strengthen us financially.

Don’t think there is one for east so that can just be the Bill Kenwright East Stand

We should consider the Oliver North Stand to boost our appeal in the Nicaraguan and Iranian markets.

It’s not just delays, loads of people just aren’t arsed is the truth of it. The people in front of me in the east stand spent most of the game taking pictures, sending them to other people, and going to the bar/getting food before leaving 20 minutes early. That’s just what comes with a new stadium I suppose.

Im in the South stand upper and some people were leaving on Wednesday with 10 minutes to go not sure because it was a night match as a few had kids or they were trying to get a head at Sandhills not a great thing to have to do

I doubt too much of it was specifically because of transport issues to be honest, people have always left games 10 minutes early and it was hardly an enthralling spectacle on Wednesday, but a lot of people will have just wanted to go to the new stadium and once it was nearly over had seen enough and got off.

The same exact group of seats I complained about being empty in the west stand on Sunday were also empty on Wednesday night

I'd like the Fans Forum to get answers from the club about this if it carries on

Getting away from Goodison, parked even as close as Stanley Park was a nightmare for a night match. Wasnt getting home till 11-45pm with the kid. Can understand some with young ones leaving a bit early with the infrastructure still not sorted or got used to.

I got home at 11am as we stayed till the end of the match but dodging through so many fans going in opposite directions when we managed to get out of the gate was a nightmare , credit again to Sandhills as we had about a 15 minute wait which seemed a lot longer and the trains had 8 carriages so plenty were getting on but its not going to be as nice if its lashing down my lads got no patience at all and spent the 15 minutes looking for somewhere to park for the next game

I'm sure the whole 'walking against the flow of the crowd' won't be an issue once everyone is familair with their surroundings. People just need to use the correct gates.

If heading north along Regent Road towards Bootle (coaches / Boundary Street etc), exit via Gate E or D.

If heading east up Blackstone Street, use Gate C.

If heading south along Regent Road back towards the city, use Gate B or A.

There is way more space within the plaza to move about in compared to outside the plaza on Regent Road, so it's best to get yourself to the 'correct' gate, rather than exit at the 'nearest' gate and then have to fight against the crowd flow.

Get used to that at this location although the 15 minute delay will also have had an impact if people had planned for trains or lifts.
