Our lack of depth/quality in midfield has stopped Delph from getting fully fit.

I still think he’ll end up being a useful player for us once we get more options there.

Some games will require his ability to not panic on ht eball in our own half. In a three he is fine as he has 2 other cm's to go forward and create. In a 2 he doesn't really offer nything going forward which is a major problem.

People also like to dream that we won every game Gana played in, we didnt.

Cheap midfield cover was definitely needed, that having to be Fabian Delph I'm not sure. Although I am clouded by hindsight and a long long long career of being a Fabian Delph booer

We can’t play out from the back. The defenders aren’t good enough and we don’t have a midfield. I have unbelievable respect for Carlo and everything but why play that way?

You have to be able to play football if you want to win games in the premiership, long ball stuff just ends up with your whole team being knackered and getting [Poor language removed] for 20 minutes at the end of games.

it was a good signing and he was a good player but for us he has been cacapoopoo

I think anyone with eyes can see he's the only one turning in midfield and going forward. But keep doing what makes you happy.

And I would hope that those same people could see that absolutely nothing comes of it when he does that but I guess not.

He will probably get an assist now but he was not good in that half.

don't really care about the performance tbh, Just want the 3 points, Hard to expect a great performance when our fit midfielders are average at best.

agree lad , absolutely the biggest summer transfer disappointment , its easy to play and look amazing when you have De Bruyne or Silva in front or next to you , hate those kind of players , they made their wages and they got ritch because of luck and the brilliance of others .... better to be lucky ( at the write place and time ) then good as we said .... Gomes used to made him look good and next to Davis he looks an average player for championship team

Delph has been the best player so far, it's Davies and Digne giving the ball away in terrible positions that has been the problem.
