Hmmm. Ever fantasized about predicting the news tomorrow? No, me neither but if I did be really hoping that a mass swine flu outbreak in the Hammers rank would postpone this game til approximately April - by which time hopefully we've got some players who can pass the ball about a bit back, re-learnt how to defend and found some form.
To put it into context, Trevor, we're a bit [Poor language removed] at the moment and won't whoever were playing know it. Step forward the proper club's club of West Ham who entertain us on Sunday in East Landan. They've suffered an awful start of the season that leaves them languishing (boss word that) near the bottom of the table. They are so adrift that if they beat us on Sunday they go above us.
Cut the [Poor language removed] and excuses you Super Azules de Walton, it's time to get some results. Looking at page 2/2 of Ceefax League Tables feels all retro nineties but I was enjoying but being decent for a wee while there.
I like West Ham, it could just be the foreign bar lottery but the one's that I've got to know a bit always come across well and don't tend to suffer from bellenditis which plagues some of the replica shirt wearing others. I'm talking about you Hull. They had a really decent win over Aston Villa at home the other night so will carry some momentum into this game, which were sadly lacking at the moment.
I presume we'll welcome back Neill to right back and Heitinga into midfield, hopefully we'll see him play a bit like what he did against Villa where he had a decent game, but nothing like the World Class one pasted around the various Everton forae. Bily will be missing so don't be expecting incisive football until Pienaar returns, and please God make it soon, to the team after having his knee butted by we can only guess is the titanium knee of Mokoena.
Shame as we haven't looked like scoring at all recently have we, even with the piss easy chances you're not expecting us to put it away.
It's a horrible time all round really but under the excuses and this, that and the other there's the small matter of the season slowly running away from us.
Here's hoping.
