Sad to see him go, but it was plain to see that he was never going to be the player that he could become at Everton. Still we picked him up from a low ebb at City and restored him to somthing like a proper footballer i'll choose to remember his debut goals : D

Cheers Lid.

I know this is a bit off-topic but on football rumours (gash website i know but i usually check for the LOLS) but suddenly after Jo's departure, there is a fair few people saying that were getting Owen on loan as he knows that sub appearances aren't getting him a World Cup space. If true then i wouldn't mind but it's a very unreliable website aha!

I believe Nugent was the preferred option , but Pompey's embargo prevents it .
Owen won't happen .

WHAT ABOUT PIENAAR??

And Senderos? This is our most exciting January for years.

What about him ??? The contract ???
Last I heard was he's more open to signing than at any time during his stay here - he realises that he has become , along with Drogba , the most high profile , in Africa , African layer , whilst playing for us . I still imagine he fancies a couple of years in the Sun , but not just yet . THAT'S the thinking , I believe .

i think im right in saying that the embargo is for incoming players to pompy mate not out.

james looks like hes gone on loan to stoke today and isnt nugent on loan at burnley til the end of the season ?

With respect , my three starred shirt , mate , he's played for 2 teams already this year , thus preventing a loan . The embargo , as yet , puts into jeopardy the likes of O'Hara , etc , whom I understand is back at Tottenham , or will be imminently . Thus , Pompey wil withdaw any out-going loans to make up the numbers
Perhaps I didn't elucidate sufficiently , cock' .

its ok having the numbers mate but they have to raise £8m in january to survive and a further £12m in the summer and the only way to do that is to sell players.

ohara's loan deal finished at the end of january meaning they cant resign him on loan or on a perm deal because of the incoming embargo

That was me point . They have a couple of others , whom had season longs , which are now in jeopardy .
Point is , Nugent couldn't loan again this season , having played - once - for Pompey and then Burnley .

EL status...

Joao has played for Toffees at EL so yes he can only play against Everton if he nicks the team bus however Lucas has not played for Everton in any EL matches, therefore why not may be he can be on the pitch at The Arena Hamburg against old team mates...

I reckon the only way Jo & Lucas Neill could come back to haunt us is if they steal the team bus.

This just means that Moyes is now counting on a stikeforce of Saha, Yakubu, AND Vaughan going forward.

Hate losing Jo but there we go.

Does anyone think that the reason Jo played so much when he was so obviously [Poor language removed] was because Citeh made us a deal stating we give you to him for free but you have to play him atleast everyone second match or something along those lines?
