The attacking fluency really seems to have gone, but we've developed the ability to grind out wins this season, which is great. It is strange where the sexiness of the early weeks of the season has gone though.

Strange isn't it. We've become very good at getting a goal and defending the lead.

Extremely Italian in our strategy.

That game has actually given me a full blown headache. So happy we won against Gravy McGrave Face though & picking up wins whilst playing garbage is always welcome. Top 4!!!!! UTFT.

I went for Richarlison for MoM. Allan changed the game when he came on, even Gomes changed into a different player from then on. DCL worked hard as usual but was having to come back into his own half too much in the first period. Some of our passing in defence isn't so much telegraphed as sent last week by second class post. But a win is 3 more points and more confidence built

Don’t know what to make of it at the minute - consistently pretty bang average performances but grinding out wins like no tomorrow with an away record superior to even the great 84/85 team.

Pickford and Richarlison is the answer. Those 2 have been brilliant in the last few games.

We were the better team. Dom had a golden chance in the first half that should have been a goal. Richy also had a couple of half decent chances that could have been goals. WBA only really had the disallowed goal and the cross right in front of goal that beat everyone. Glad we don't have to hear from Sam that winning the match was evidence of his greatness and how he was mistreated by Everton.

We’ve finally taken advantage of a situation. Usually if a win does positive things for Everton, we don’t capitalise on it. We’ve finally done that this evening.
