I know these kind of suggestions are flippantly made often but I would genuinely rather he started an U23 midfielder than Gomes.

I am not exaggerating one bit when I say it couldn’t be any worse, and at least we’d probably get a bit of energy out of them in their attempts to impress.

I personally don’t mind Iwobi. Latest in a string of players we’ve had in wide positions who are infuriating but can pop up with the occasional moment of magic.
