Very content with that especially as we now have a manager who knows what he's doing. Stek was very good again, Holgate is a future England player, YB has shown the those 30 odd minutes what he can bring to the table so basically all is well in the world. On the downside, there is always a downside, Ross needs a anal kick, Deffo did not impress and Mori needs more instruction from the boss. Biggest question from this game..................do we need Joe hart

I've never felt more like singin' the Blues....

Top result that. Chuffed. Could have been more for us, but could also have been more for West Brom before we equalised.

Stekelenburg: 7/10- Kept us in it first half in particular. Great shot stopper.
Baines: 6/10- Not too influential. Needs to come off free-kicks.
Jagielka: 7/10- Could have done better for the goal and needs to start jumping at set pieces, otherwise made some important challenges.
Funes Mori: 5/10- Not impressive.
Holgate: 8/10- Comfortable with him at RB- think he defends better than Coleman. Top match.
Mirallas: 9/10 MOTM- Sublime after the Rom sub in every department.
Barry: 6/10- Not his finest match, lost some balls, but steady enough, and scored.
McCarthy: 3/10- Had his time here I think.
Gana: 8/10- Fantastic. Again.
Barkley: 5/10- Needs a proper rest. Let's see Mirallas there or a new signing.
Deulofeu: 5/10- Not his day. Not his fault that he's been out of position. Hopefully better out on the right next match.

Subs: Rom 6 (Not great but his sub changed things), Williams 6 (Didn't see much), Bolasie 7 (He's gonna link up well with Rom.)

Koeman 8- In hindsight not an effective starting line-up but was ballsy enough to change it up 1st half. How refreshing!

So two games we haven't been at our best. Still some time left to get transfers in- the new signings look great. 4 points from 2 games. Bring on this season!

That was a really good victory, certainly no gimme and had to be earned through hard work and a desire to go on and win it. We still play a possession based game but it now has purpose and more zip to it.

If Gueye can maintain that level of effort, we have got a cracking player there.

Holgate was excellent again, more than a touch of the natural looking footballer about him. If we go 3 at the back, then Holgate can have the RWB berth until Coleman returns.

At times Bolasie played like he had no idea what he was planning to do with the ball! Must be a defenders' nightmare.lol
