Wenger: Everton Can Win The League

I can't help feeling that the yak being injured and having no forwards is having a positive effect on the team (the results back this up).

Without a target man we have had to adapt our game, and we now seem to have the confidence in our own passing to play our way through teams. I'm just watching the 1st half against Arsenal and I'm grinning to myself that we're out passing them!

Now, when the yak returns, he's going to be in a team brimming with confidence in their passing ability, and he might start benefiting from our new found skills.

It won't continue forever, you know that.

This season at best for me, before we start dropping down.

Why now?

If Moyes strong point is hanging with the Uefa cup boys on a shoestring what makes you think we won't stay in that position for seasons to come?

And i wont accept other teams spending money because look at the ones who have in seasons previous and how we still stayed with or above them.

We have the nucleus of a very good side.

What reasons for us falling down the league do you see other than other teams spending more money than us?

Whats the point in not being able to have the money to strengthen your squad though?

We need to progress. We can't progress on 15 million in the summer, not in the current transfer market.

Everyone thinks that Moyes will pluck out players like Arteta again. Those days are gone. Everyone is valued double of what they used to be now with all the money flying around.

If we want to become a Champions league team, we need to look at bringing in the likes of Moutinho and Veloso etc, not Brian Howard and other Championship donkeys in the hope they turn into our Tim Cahill.

Last paragraph i definatly agree with.

Maybe Moyes can find bargains again maybe he can't. They are still out there waiting to be found.

Whether or not there prices will be inflated or not i dont know. Obviously the players we here about everyday are but will an ungeard of player sitting on the bench of a club somewhere really be double in price?

I said in another thread i think the gap between us and the big 4 is closing but more due to them then us.

I don't think we will be able to compete level with them without big money but i think we have every chance of staying where we are because other teams don't have what we have. And no money can buy that.

But we can only wait and see.
