I know I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, but should everton triumph in the quarter finals - do you think the semis should be played at wembley ?
I personally (although I'm desperate to see the blues on the hallowed turf) prefer the old venues such as villa park , old trafford...etc etc.
and theres the argument that it takes away the magic of reaching a 'wembley cup final'

what do you think?

I think its stupid that Semi-Finals are played at Wembley, but the FA have got to get some of the money back for building it, the whole point in playing in the FA cup is you get to Wembley at the end of it all for the FINAL, but i guess its the way football is these day. The Champions League isnt the Champions League, its the nearly won it and winners League.

the thought of Wembley is actually giving me a semi.

i love the place, went 15 times to the old place plus sneaked in and ran around on the pitch when we wheat the arena once. i went to the first game at the new stadium and took the kids along, the first sight of it off the motorway is fantastic and when i was outside it was if the place had an aura, something that had remained from the old place, and it doesnt stink of slash anymore.

Liverpool won the "Champions League" but they havn't benn English Champions for years!

I think that it really dosen't make much difference that the semi-finals are being played at Wembly as I don't think that it takes any of the magic out of the final as it isn't Wembly that makes it magical, it's the final itself.

It's not as if the finals in Cardiff were any less special.

It is a disgrace that the semi final is held at Wembley, takes the whole point away from the competition and rips us fans off. The whole point of the cup is to get to the final which is played at Wembley stadium. By playing the semi final at Wembley, it takes the gloss out of playing there for the final. Imagine we get Man Utd in the semi's, that means two teams from the north west have to make the 5 hour journey to London. These games should be played in Old Trafford and Villa Park. I think all clubs should get together and refuse to take part unless the FA changes the rules. I have thought about e-mailing Ian Ross about this but have not had his email adress to be able to.

Semi-finals day - once described (by Shankly, I think) as the most compelling day of the english football calendar.

These games should be at Villa Park, Emirates, OT, Eastlands St James etc - never, never, never at Wembley.

What's the point in a semi if it's there?
