Wembley Plans?

I'm getting up at an hour that makes me question whether it's worth even going to bed, which I'm not that arsed about because I wont be able to sleep much anyway. I'm booking a taxi for 3:30 which should get me to the boozer which is open & serving from 4 (yeah, that's 4 o'clock on a Sunday morning). Having a few there then jumping on the coach which leaves at 6, plenty of cans on the coach then stopping at a pub that has been booked for all of the coaches, have no idea where it is or what the plan of action is for after that though.

I'm going to be a ******* mess, some people I'm going with are saying they're going to take it easy but I know from experience that that never, ever happens once that 1st drink has been necked. Hoping I can go slowly enough remember most of the day but regardless of what happens, I'm going to Wembley to watch Everton, I've waited almost 24 years for this so I'm going to have a ******* ball. Can't wait.

At the risk of being ridiculed and considered naive, and I'm not addressing this question at any individual, but what is the point of travelling all the way to Wembley and watching our biggest game for a decade completely tanked up to the extent that you can not remember nor can appreciate the atmosphere and experience of the day?

I'm not saying anyone does not have the right to do such a thing, but genuinely cannot see the point.

I'd be interested in your views, criticise my own view should you see fit, I'll not be offended :)

You gotta have a few bevvies, lid.

Anyway...you get to a good weithies or a something similar (yates etc) you should be alright price wise. They're still do the £1.29 ale or bottle of becks daaarn saarf and you're going to pay at most about £3.00 a pint for everything else. Fair chops seeing as you're paying over £2.00 a pop in town or anywhere else.

That's a fair question mate

I'm not planning on getting that bad. I saw some fella in Fiorentina's ground asleep (**** knows how he managed it because the "seats" had just a lip instead of a back) & wondered why he'd spent all that money & travelled all that way to have a sleep in a terrible stadium. I also saw some lad at the Macclesfield game in a worse state than I've ever seen anyone anywhere, God knows what he'd taken but he was throwing up on himself & ended up being taken away by the paramedics.

Having re-read my post, it looks like that's what I'm aiming for but I'm not, I'm not the sort of person who drinks himself into oblivion & then throws up in the street on a regular basis. I'm just really, really excited about going & I know I'll be adding to the experience by consuming my share of booze on the day & as the 1st pint will be served 12 hours before kick off, I know there is no chance of me being sober by the time the match starts.

I was hammered when we played Nuremberg though & can remember the entire weekend in small detail, even now.

Fair answer CM ! Hope you have a great time and we all come back safe and victorious!

I'd be interested in the views of others.

I dont drink at all. Its been possibly a few years since my last real drinking session. The coach is leaving at 6am. So im going to be getting down London well before midday. Then the plan is to hit a pub and hopefully some offies.

If you can suggest something else I could do for about 5 hours, whilst all my mates will be in the pub getting smashed im open to ideas. But sadly I will have to join them.

So whilst im not intending on getting hammered, its very likely that I shall be.

I'm starting at 6am and just intending on getting ******* battered.

I'll get to the match ok but i'm staying in London and hitting whatever alehouse or club which is around.

I'm gonna be throwing up all over London.

drive to Crewe and get train at 0845 - train originates in Manchester so I expect a battle to get to my reserved seat -
arrive Euston, then tube to Wemberleeeeee.
woo hoo, can't wait, can't wait.

Train back at about 2000hrs (better check the time)
Off on Monday - hopefully with the hangover from hell!

Managed to secure that oh-so-lucrative entire long weekend off. Heading down tomorrow afternoon and then it's a whammy until Monday.

Goat no way are you tee-total . I am now travelling down on my own because my bird has to work . Getting the 9.00 train down from Manchester Piccadilly arriving at Euston at around 12.30 . When it gets into Euston I will be steaming . Meeting some work mates In Covent Garden for a few then travelling to Wembley via the tube whilst singing my fcuking head off . Anyone that attends owes it too themselves and Everton to reach that perfect steaming but just in control level of pissedness . By 3.30 your eyes should be bulging from your head as you exude menace whilst making your way to the ground .

car journey from widnes area to wigan, train from wigan to euston at 10.10am.

Gets into Euston at 1.05, throw bags in the travelodge, underground to wembley, find a bar/pub.

Getting the 06.55am train, in for 9 o clock apparently, throw bags in hotel then off to the ground.

Starting drinking at 6am so if yer see me para on the floor then don't be arsed.
