i currently have a e6300 (1.86 dual core) with a 7600 gs 256mb and 2gb ram..

i get a windows vista score of 4.3, only because of the graphics though, so hopefully ill be around the 5 mark by tonight !!

got 1 sata hard drive, 1 Ide and 2 external, overall 900gb and im completely full lol

Why are you getting the E6850? Over here it is a good $30 more expensive than the E8400. Especially when you factor in the E8400 runs about 8-10% faster in pretty much every test at the same clock speeds! Then you factor in the E8400 is overclockable like mad, I may have mine @ 4.2Ghz, but there are guys (with wicked cases) who are doing 4.8Ghz on air cooling! Way more than the E6850 can handle. Then there is the L2 cache, the 8400 has 6Mb versus the 4 Mb on the E6850.

Get the 45nm chip!

i know that it is slightly quicker, and i do mean slightly !!! i have seen the tables for myself, but it is very difficult to get hold of over here, and for a decent price !!

Return the Conroe and get the Wolfdale. When you do your first overclock you will be happy you went 45nm!

nahhh seriously cant be arsed to be honest.. not gonna notice a massive performance hike... and im too excited lol

just a question, my graphics card has an (S to AV cable).. obviously this means the S video on the card, but can i plug it into a normal scart with an adaptor? if so how..

i have an older tv with only scart on it lol

also, on the power cable for the grapics card, it has 2 inputs from the main power supply. do they both need plugging in or just one?? just wondering as it might be for the SLI mode?

not very good instructions with it lol

That would be Crossfire for your ATI card ;)

With these new cards the PCI-E slot can't supply the necessary power so you have to connect the dongles to get thr required power. I am not up on the cutting edge of ATI cards, but you may well need to connect both power leads if it has ports for them on the card. Just curious, did you get the X2 version with 2 GPU's on the board?

pissed off... cpu and mobo didnt turn up... waited in all day after being promised next day delivery.

spoke to the salesman at lunch who assured me it was sent out yday, then phoned back at 3 and he gave me a consignment number, so i called the delivery company who said it wasnt even picked up until this afternoon, called back and he wouldnt speak to me but a girl was very apologetic and said it would be here tomorrow, so im writing an email of complaint as we speak lol

I would imagine that if your adapter will convert S-video to SCART then it should work. Although, if your TV (HDTV I am assuming) has HDMI or VGA connections, it would provide a better quality image if you used a DVI-HDMI or DVI-D-SUB adapter.
