Aspiration is fine and people can talk about NSNO and talk about pipe dreams of getting Simone of Poch, it aint happening.

Perspective, is required we have been mediocre on and off the pitch bordering on a basket case increasingly for 5-7 years.

Its not the most attractive job in the world and we need to be looking at managers on the up, rather then asking for ones to take a step down, that not running us down, that is just the reality of the market, we could be facing into.

Martinez and Silva respectively were considered ‘managers on the up’. There were articles linking Martinez to a potential managerial career at Barcelona some day at one point given his record at Swansea and his miraculous FA Cup win.

Silva was consider a great prospect after his record in Greece and his initial feats at Hull City and Watford.

For Bournemouth.... He may well be able to cut it at a different club at a higher step up than a club with zero expectations, it’s definitely not a risk Everton should be taking. Let someone like West Ham give him a go.

On paper he’s just another Silva/Koeman/Martinez.

Well i think it depends on what we want. We wanted a more expansive manager the Davey, we got Martinez, we then wanted a more pragmatic manager then got Koeman, we then wanted someone who would play it safe and got Sam, we then wanted someone expansive and exotic and got Silva.

We need to be careful of the type of philosophy we could be bringing in and not flip flopping again.

The reality for me, is we are only attractive to managers of Howe's ilk and career trajectory, its why we are seeing names like Moyes, Wilder and Mikel, thats the reality of our market, coaches with potential or managers who have done well historically and fallen on hard times. .

Amazingly id say both Martinez and Koeman could be considered for the Barcelona job in the summer, once Everton has touched you.
