In his first 12 months we played some decent stuff....not City type, but fast paced pressing and aggressive....once it got hard for him, he returned to type...which all managers do.
Not even close to being as bad as Big Sam & Rafael.

Too many like to change history to fit their narrative.

He had to go in the end, but lets not pretend he didn't do a good job under terrible circumstances.

He did well in his first year, but his last year was as bad as anything I’ve ever seen at us.

He gets a team out of trouble then when it’s time to kick on or stay midtable he brings the club down to his level.

Plenty online who have stated it mate (including from other clubs looking in). The fact he cleared relegation so easily was impressive but we should never have been relegated with those 3 teams anyway.

The actual miracle was the half season he came into because I've absolutely no idea how we stayed up. From the Leicester match to the bizarre twatting 5-1 of Brighton. Incredible series of events.

Yea that first half season was decent.

Never ever heard "miracle" be used, ever. Not online, not by him and not by any media.

Decent job, did well, tough circumstances...heard all that type of stuff, and its true.

We scored my favourite recent Everton goal under dychey - Betox29 versus the horse punchers (loved that goal!) and initially he did a good job when first landing at our mad house. I don’t think anyone denies that he didn’t do a decent job initially.

It is what he followed that up with and the turgid, rancid football he served up, constantly talking the club and supporters down, and his insane sound-bitey press conferences where he chatted complete wham constantly, and talked about himself like the was the second coming of Brian Clough that finished him with me.

A limited manager like Moysie completely showed the fraud up for what he is in a couple of weeks.

Agree with that first bit....that 2nd is just hyperbole again, we have been so much worse under other managers.

Context is needed, we was in a such a bad position off the pitch, and he had to face it all, with no board at all to answer.

He is not a great manager...but he is not exactly the worst ever either.

It’s honestly not an exaggeration to say it was as bad as anything we’ve seen, even some of the football in 23/24 was genuinely that poor, of course there's context to why etc but I don't get this pretending it wasn't that bad just because of the hands he was dealt? Dyche had a knack for putting together a short 2–3 game winning streak, but then we’d go on these ridiculous winless runs. That’s just part of how he always operates, 7, 8, 9, even 13 games without a win isn’t unusual for him.

We were in a much worse position the season before, I’ve got no idea why people give him a pass for his last season, I thought it was a more of a case he knew his days were numbered, that's the sense I got from the 💩 that come from his mouth towards the end.

He made Allardyce look like he played expansive football.

That really is some feat.

Who ever said miracle ??

Why is everthing to the extreme eaither way....its so bi-polar with our fans.

Its ok to say he did a decent job, or did well through a difficult period.

"Did well" - Does not mean miracle....or genuis or success.
So so right with the extreme difference of opinions.

the fact MOYES come in and was a breath of fresh air is a testament to how bad dycheball really is.
We got sick of him hearing from him twice a week, pre match and post match.

Imagine how punishing it was for the squad suffering him six days a week. I'm sure he's a wonderful wit, insightful, empathetic and one of the greatest cha-cha dancers to grace gods green earth, but there is to much of a good thing. :/

There’d definitely be a few players not signing new contracts either....

Who is giving him a pass though ?? Again, thats just making stuff up.

He needed to go, because it got bad....its also ok to say to did well at first for a period.

Might not have been a football club here to sign a contract for without what he did so swings and roundabouts.

People quickly forget the nightmare scenario had we gone down in 23 or 24. No Friedkins, no new stadium, wages maybe not even paid, unable to service debts, every first team player and half decent academy prospect sold in a fire sale, administration and points deduction the championship, probably another pointts deduction arriving for PS&R breach. Potential liquidation of the club.

All of that if Dyche had made one wrong move in 23.

But after steering the club away from all of that, and the points deductions the next season, people are still a year later absolutely boiling because he didn’t get the aesthetic brand they wanted out of the likes of Coleman Keane Tarkowski Mykolenko McNeil Lindstrom Harrison Gueye and DCL.
