There is plenty of vaulting to do about Chris Wood going back a couple of years. Would have been a good signingI don’t like them after their fans hypocritical chants against us, but it’s hard not to be impressed with what they are achieving at the moment. If we had a striker as clinical as Chris Wood we would be higher up the league. He’s never been a great player, but he does know how to take chances when he gets them, which is not the case with our strikers! Hopefully we can knock them back down to earth. Tough game to call imo
Good post. Whether we actually qualify or not for Europe remains to be seen but it's a huge challenge trying to balance multiple competitions, Thursday/Sunday schedules etc.I can’t believe the amount of people that can’t see that Forest are good team, built on good players across the park on the back of heavy investment.. Nuno has done well with the team too.
Think this season will prove an outlier though, qualify for Europe, then struggle to compete in the league and extra fixtures without spending more money. Finish midtable next season. Plenty of forest fans will be calling for Nunos head because they failed to kick on.
A big factor in him signing there was coz he'd worked with Cooper at youth level for England, but I agree that it's disappointing Everton aren't the draw we used to be.Gibbs-White, have to admit I was gutted he never joined us and chose Forest instead.
With no disrespect to them at all, it was a real sign to me that we weren't all that.
My head always think that Everton are a big club and it's a no brainer for players at this level of recruitment . Obviously not, and it kind of showed just how much trouble my team were in. Think he would of made a huge difference to our midfield.
I Have a gut feeling we will do OK tomorrow, Positive vibes in this forum, national press, and performances, are lifting us, given the expectation of December we're doing OK, and I think we may well roll them over![]()
How are they not up on psr charges this year? Is the whole thing being swept under the rug now that everton have been made an example?Tory Scab Caveman team who have somehow prospered after cheating whilst we remain completely restricted.
Probably have the most cringe chant going when they sing that ‘champions of Europe, you’ll never sing that’
A big factor in him signing was that they paid £45 million for him, and nobody else would.A big factor in him signing there was coz he'd worked with Cooper at youth level for England, but I agree that it's disappointing Everton aren't the draw we used to be.
The Leicester debacle and then the ‘special dispensation’ shown to United tells me that no one will ever be done under PSR again. How are they not up on psr charges this year? Is the whole thing being swept under the rug now that everton have been made an example?
Nicely researched ChicoGood post. Whether we actually qualify or not for Europe remains to be seen but it's a huge challenge trying to balance multiple competitions, Thursday/Sunday schedules etc.
One thing I would say though is Marinakis is a highly ambitious owner. He's not Middle East-rich but has plenty of money and most importantly is in it for glory rather than profit. We will invest if necessary and the rules allow but we've shown in the last 18 months that we have a good scouting system and can pick up some real bargains. Murillo (10m) Milenkovic (12m) Aina (free) and Sels (5m) are good examples of that.
Also they paid it up front I believe and not on the dripA big factor in him signing was that they paid £45 million for him, and nobody else would.
