I think these are fair points.

I just feel that praise has to go his way, as he was manager of the team. There are plenty of managers who would have given off defeatist vibes, I don't think he did and therefore was part of the reason we did survive that year.

He definitely brought grit and determination, which is why it was such a surprise when he told the Friedkins he couldn't take the team any further. For me, he then blotted his copybook by refusing to resign and basically telling them to sack him, which showed zero integrity.

If they're still letting Jota's death cloud their thoughts during a game, if they can't yet focus on the task at hand for 90 minutes, then they really aren't mental giants, are they? And the fact they win, it's for him, they lose, it's because they're grieving has gone on far, far too long. At what point do they get up, dust themselves off and just get on with it like professionals? I know, I know, I am talking about Victims FC here.
