He definitely brought grit and determination, which is why it was such a surprise when he told the Friedkins he couldn't take the team any further. For me, he then blotted his copybook by refusing to resign and basically telling them to sack him, which showed zero integrity.I think these are fair points.
I just feel that praise has to go his way, as he was manager of the team. There are plenty of managers who would have given off defeatist vibes, I don't think he did and therefore was part of the reason we did survive that year.
