"We need to move from Goodison"

It is defo possible, but the custodians of the club want to take us away.

People may see this as cynicism, but they want to move us away to a new space so that when they come to selling Everton they can sell it for more £££.

Developing Goodison and selling that on wouldn't make as much money coz of the area, however a re-developed Goodison coupled with a regeneration of Walton (a similar idea to what they wanted to do with Kirkby/Tesco) would be amazing for the L4 area. But they won't ever want that and will tell us it is never going to be possible, why, simply because they won't make as much money from it - in my opinion.

so what is the most wanted new location for us? Or if i may, most realistic?

The Ricoh stadium is available.

Funnily enough, Kirkby would have been a larger version of the Ricoh.

I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Everton re-locate as long as the stadium was something to be proud of, so it goes without saying I wouldn't want the present board to have any hand in such a project.

There doesn't seem to be anything - be it re-development or re-location - on the cards though. Do we just sit tight until Kenwright dies?

Liverpool Council: Exclusivity deal for Kirkby means we cant propose anything....

Surprisingly quiet since their successful sabotage.

surely we could try get into bed with a development scheme to build a stadium somewhere like Stanley Park and be tenants to them? have them name the stadium (nothing daft like)

I'd rather stay at Goodison and re-develop it. It's the ground that Dixie Dean, Alex Young, Eusebio, Pele and the Holy Trinity played at, the ground where my Dad used to walk to as a child and get lifted over the turnstiles so he could watch Everton. Where he watched us win league trophies and then, where him and I watched us win league trophies together. I hope one day that I can share that same experience with my kids, in the same ground which holds so much history not just for Everton Football Club but for my family and I'm sure many families as well.

The ground has so many memories and for a club with such a proud history, it would be such a shame to lose that closeness to it by moving to a new ground. And for what? Kirby would have got us what an extra £6m a year, if we filled it? I'm sure with the new tv money they could do something towards re-developing parts of Goodison.

problem would be the cash mate providing we lose around £9 mil a year looking at the accounts then wouldnt the TV cash go towards that and what ever left surely should be spent on the team as the clubs that already do out spend us even your sunderlands, fulhams etc. will have the extra £20 mil to spend which could see us drop down further.

does anyone have a figure of how much we will get for finishing say 6th/7th in terms of the new deal in comparison to last years deal?

All that won't be worth a thing mate when they move us and sell Goodison for retail or property development. All those memories gone so that people become a bit more richer.

It's not though mate, it's really not. Certainly not a worthwhile redevelopment.

It's not just Elstone.

The site is just too small, all the evidence points to it. There's a church in one corner that can't even be moved.

I'm sure it does, but I'm also sure there are people in this world who could make it work.

For what it's worth i think it would be far cheaper than purchasing new land and building a brand new stadium on it
