We Must Get Behind Our Sam

I was clear as day whose choice Big Sam was tonight, Moshiri looked happy with his choice. The friendship between Moshiri and Kenwright looked a little.....false.....like they were pretending to like eachother. That's the impression I got anyway, it appears that boardroom war may be a thing.

Also noticed Ryazantsev there in the directors box too - not seen him there before (not that I've noticed anyway). Perhaps a sign of changes in the offing.

I agree mate.

I hope he gets a lot of great results here and leaves quietly. But he's damaged goods and always will be. Beyond the pale in normal circumstances.

Still, if he's a success we are too. I'm just dreading the rubbish hoofball.

Serious question mate, as you never liked Moyes and I was always happy when he came, is this similar to how you felt when he got the gig? How would you say fans have taken it comparatively?

I was all in favour of Moyes' appointment. I was so relieved at getting shut of Smith.

I supported Moyes until 2009 when he just lost it and stagnated. Never looked like improving to the next level and then just became surly and did the board's propaganda for them over investment and spending.

Allardyce is hard to take and also easy to take: hard because he's going to inject a brand of football that's from the Dark Ages, easy because he'll be here 18 months tops.

If Moshiri gets a sniff of a new plaything in the summer (Simeone bats his eyelids st him) Allardyce will be out the door regardless of contract length. He’s no mug, he knows exactly the deal he signed up to, that’s why he’s squeezed 6 mill out of it.

If we just stay bottom half I can see SA being punted, yes. Good season though? I'd say Moshiri will want some respite from the managerial carousel.

You sell Moshiri short a bit IMO. I'd be inclined to think its more Kenright, Woods, Elstone etc who want to keep Allardyce or replace him with Pardew etc.

Moshiri does look like he is trying to bring someone decent in. Hence why we even queried Simeone.

Right....

Ever since Kenwright took over the reigns he has signed as manager:

David Moyes - Young hungry up and comer.
Roberto Martinez - Young, attacking manager

Both came with risks and rewards.

And now we have 63 year old Allardyce being brought in to steady the ship.

How does any of that correlate to him being a Kenwright appointment?

Say what you want about Kenwright (many do) but he IS an Evertonian. He is probably less than chuffed at the prospect of Sammy Lee coming in like many of us are. But Kenwright is no longer the king maker, this much is blatantly obvious.
