The great diaspora mate.

i.e. Evertonians have taken over the world.

I was out shopping in Finchley in my Everton hoodie only yesterday and let on to a lad in an Everton ski hat. Quick chat about the game then off to get the bus.

The places I've been and bumped into an Evertonian mate....

could fill one of LCAB's sunday sermons. Timbuktoo etc. Odds are there's an Evertonian there.

God knows how many we've all bumped into.

Its like some attraction. We're all destined to meet each other eventually.

Its like when you see another evertonian when your out and about, on holiday, at work, anywhere, even when u dont know who the fck they are its just that sort of nod of approval you give each other as if to say 'we are evertonians, n proud of it, fck the rest'.

Playing 5-aside with work wearing my Everton shirt of course. After the game as I was walking to my car and this lad was walking the other way to play with his mates after us, wearing a Danka Everton shirt.

I gave him the said nod of approval...

Provide details of the places and stories you have of meeting other Evertonians - here there and everywhere

I have yet to meet an Everton fan, but I did see a guy and a young girl (not together) wearing an Everton kit at a DC United game I went to this summer.

We are Everton???

Well, that just means I registered on the right forum.:D

Travelling to the Cup Final in 2009. Had to change trains at Utrecht to take me to Schiphol Airport. As I opened the door of the first carriage, there was an Everton lad sitting by the window, sporting the home kit. Started talking to him and it turned out, he was a Scouser, living in Holland for work.

At work I met a lorry driver from England. As I parked my car at the office. the guy was walking past me and glared at my back window, seeing the Everton mini scarf. Turned out he was an Evertonian himself. Said that he was/or has been the neighbour to Michael Ball, when he played for Everton.

I believe I have an ace story about meeting a fellow Evertonian:

A few years back in my uni days I decided to do that American Camp thing a lo of students do for a summer. (not Camp America but similar, BUNAC to be precise).

It was the first big thing I'd ever really done on my own, apart from going to uni itself. So off I went to America on my own, not really knowing what I was doing or where to go when I got there.

I found my camp eventually (after a very hairy night in a New York hostel) in the middle of nowhere about 2 hours outside The Big Apple. I get my welcome (I was Goalie Smithy as I went over as a goalkeeper coach) and then shown to my bunk to have a kip and settle in. I chose a bunk completely at random (but made sure it was the top bunk of course!) and got out my Everton memorabilia to feel at home (including a big Dunc pro star figure).

When I woke up I heard a Scouse voice and prayed it was a blue! Lo and behold in the bunk below me was a fellow toffee who became my best friend for that summer and made it the best summer of my life. He had similar LCAB powers in telling me about Radzinski joining beards before it happened!

Lost contact with him now which is a shame (in fact he might post on here for all I know!), but it just goes to show that Everton is always with you wherever you go!

Indeed, that's quite a ace story.

I met a whole bunch of toffee scousers when the English cricket team came to play South Africa at the Wanders a last year. They brought a huge banner: 'Everton Supporters Club'...
They were quite loud... But when they started singing 'It's a grand old team'... I joined in!

I've bumped into blues in some weird places around the world.

Two mad ones stand out, was on a beach in the Caribbean but one that was way, way out of the tourist trap. Pure nothing around for miles and miles and was walking along when some couple came out of the jungle (I didn't ask) and the fellas says something like "alright lad, do you know how we get back to...". Turns out he's a blue.

Was in a gym in Greece recently and some Greek lid came over, seen my Everton tattoo and started reeling over the 84/85 team 1-11 out of the blue. He's a blue from Athens.

Mad.

My first day at my current job, I get shown my desk by the boss and as I sit down one of the lads says messing around "oh here he comes Everton scum" with a smile, so i turned and said "that's a bit harsh, it's my first day", turns out they were talking to the boss, he said "who do you support?" so I flashed him my tie which had a very small EFC logo on and he says "no way","if I'd of known your were a blue I'd of give you the job earlier".

Then he tells me his mate in the office upstairs is a blue as well.

Nice one on this thread Matt.

Also, I asked some fella in busch gardens the time earlier this year. Never expected him to be a scouser. Got chatting and he said he was with another 18, they'd just gone to different theme parks for the day.

Nice chap.

When Everton came over here a couple of summers ago and played in Chicago, took the bus from the Globe Pub to Toyota Park - filled with Evertonians including 2 who'd come over from Liverpool on holiday. A couple of days in Chicago to see the Blues then traveled to Denver to watch the Blues again and finished their trip off with a week in Vegas. Great guys.

Went to the Globe again to watch the FA Cup Final and was awash in a sea of Blue. Even saw me a Hibbert kit being worn.

They're out there in the US but you might have to look a bit.
