We are considering signing Ron Vlaar

It seems odd to me that he has not got a contract with a club, he left Villa in July and we are now in November. There must be a massive problem with his knee. Reading the original article it makes you wonder if we are actually interested at all, it says Vlaar has had offers from Turkey and Italy, but not taken them. That seems strange, unless they were terrible offers, he is unemployed, I would have thought he would sign for another team. It reads like a Chelsea fans dream, we sign Vlaar so they can sign Stones. I'm not saying it won't happen, I just think, it's unlikely.

I'd actually be quite chuffed with signing him, he's a proper player. Van Gaal looked at him when he went to United.

Villa have been poo for a while but it was the core of decent players like Vlaar, Delph, and Benteke who kept them from being the sinking stone they are now. Sign him up I say.

he was asked 'how quickly do you think talks are going with that one?' and he laughed and said 'there are none' but it looked to me as if he was joking about like they are in talks, but could be reading into things.
