I've been playing guitar for years and I can't say i've ever used it to clean my strings.

Might give it a go laters.

Simply wonderful stuff but never use it to oil the bolts holding your drum heads on. Also used in clubs and pubs on the surfaces of toilet seats, cisterns and anywhere else it is possible knock a line out.
