Is it just me who hates Silva more than any other manager in our history? Atleast Walker and Smith had garbage to manage this fella has Brazil, French among other internationals in the side and is leading us into a relegation scrap.

As he does. You all think sacking him is the answer when it’s isnt, sack all
Of these spineless players first and also get a striker in.
it will take 3 years to get rid of these players, the very players that silva cant get a tune out of. we need a firefighter in till we can sign quality.

After 24 hours reflection (less sleep of course, however short that is when results are as bad as they are currently) I think there were some good points yesterday. For one, Silva didn't play two wingers, instead dropping one more body into midfield, where we've been outnumbered and out-muscled all season. For another (and possibly partly as a result of the increased MF numbers), we were much more solid at the back. Watford got very little change over the 90 minutes and had few periods of pressure.
Other good points were the individual performances of Kenny, Zouma, Gueye and Davies.
An argument could be made that given all this, what really let us down was the continued minimum impact of those players we were seeing as game-changers in the first few months of the season -- Sigurddson, Richarlison, Bernard and Walcott. Richarlison in particular is producing very little and, the odd tap in apart, has produced nothing for a couple of months. Why is very worrying.

Reality is we could end up 50 points behind the RS come May. Our fixtures are horrible. Esp at home.
Not good enough. Silva out. Moshi can do one.

Absolute joke of a business. Never mind a football club.

Don't understand this mentality. IMO worrying about what's happening across the park is holding back the club.
We can't influence what happens over there other than on derby day and that's not gone too well recently.

EFC needs to get it's own house in order and fast :
- Next 4 home games are Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal & Utd. Whilst Chelsea are completely off form and there for the taking - they'll want to bounce back now they've dropped out the top four. If Sarri gets the boot and they get a new manager then it'll be a tougher fixture. Based on form we're not likely to get much change from the other 3 games.
- Next 4 aways are Cardiff, Newcastle, West Ham and Fulham. The first two are both scrapping for survival so will not be easy but we have to take at least 4 points from those games as well as a point from West Ham game. Fulham are dire so nothing less than a win there.

Limping to the 40 point mark is the way it looks at the moment - luckily the points are in the bag already to not to be in a relegation fight.

....absolutely, and it’s something I keep calling for as part of a transfer strategy. The problem with the Walsh era was players being bought in isolation without a thought to a system, blend or complementing team mates.

The ‘85 team is a fine team model to analyse. A back four with 3 amazing athletes, full of pace, power, ability and attitude (Stevens, Ratcliffe and Van Den Hauwe). Two wide midfielders contributing significant goals and assists, two central midfielders who hunted as a partnership. An outstanding target man who acted as a partner to his support striker, contributed goals and an ideal foil for others.
Ah, PVDH, how we use a nutter like him now, half the pussies in today’s league would be sh*t scared to go near him

Not really, Koeman, Big Sam, and to a lesser extent Martinez gave the impression of being self-serving and full of crap. Silva is a dour man but comes across as a generally decent fella with a serious mindset. The big negative with him is he's just really bad at his job as of the last few months.

If he gets the sack I'd wish him well for the future unlike those other chancers.
