After 24 hours reflection (less sleep of course, however short that is when results are as bad as they are currently) I think there were some good points yesterday. For one, Silva didn't play two wingers, instead dropping one more body into midfield, where we've been outnumbered and out-muscled all season. For another (and possibly partly as a result of the increased MF numbers), we were much more solid at the back. Watford got very little change over the 90 minutes and had few periods of pressure.
Other good points were the individual performances of Kenny, Zouma, Gueye and Davies.
An argument could be made that given all this, what really let us down was the continued minimum impact of those players we were seeing as game-changers in the first few months of the season -- Sigurddson, Richarlison, Bernard and Walcott. Richarlison in particular is producing very little and, the odd tap in apart, has produced nothing for a couple of months. Why is very worrying.
