yes but is he up to everton standards? not once has he closed his eyes and hoofed the ball down the channels.

Fernandes isn't an attacking midfielder. Alot of people get mistaken because he has alot of attacking qualities. He's a deep lying play maker who brings players into the game with his passing. If you watch him closely alot of the time when he's playing centre midfield he has the ball in a deep position.

He's a potential match winner in my opinion. The pass against Derby for Leon's goal, the skill and through ball to AJ v Spurs, the skill and through ball against Arsenal aswell as the shimmy and back heel that created Osman a chance against Blackburn.

Its not his fault his strikers can't finish off the chances he creates. He is the only player in this current squad capable of playing a through ball.

What you say has some truth, but deep midfielders need to be able to tackle, and this is not one of his strong points. One thing though, he can pass and has terrific vision, however I believe he would be better served looking for a future in Spain or Italy where the pace of the game would suit his style more, 6m tops.

If they are willing to let Jaoquan go as one of their "valuable players" for twelve million as reported we should get Manny for five!

Hope them Gazumping us was what sent them in to finacial meltdown, justice!

Gee. How did I know that "one chance" would be thrown back in my face as well when I answered your question.

If you don't like the answers, then don't ask the questions. Questions frankly which no one else is asking right now.

FACT. Manny over the past three or four matches has created more than Osman and Pienaar.

...and I don't have to ask you about the ones that Osman and Pienaar created because, unlike some of us, I actually watch the matches in their entirety and pay attention.

Try answering the questions then..........if you can

What chances has he created? Shooting from a free kick isnt creating a chance in anyones book.
If you cant answer just say so or i will have to put you on ignore

Do they? Carrick can't tackle and plays the position perfectly well as does Pirlo at AC Milan. You put a ball winner next to someone like Fernandes and you get the right combination.

The goal for ossie v derby

AJ v Spurs

AJ v arsenal

Im not a far by a long strech, but he has created a few chances. But then go's back under his rock for the rest on the game.

I have just mentioned a few chances he's created in one of my posts.

To be fair to Manny he has been playing on the wing which is not his position at all and even when he plays centre midfield I wouldn't call him an attacking creative midfielder. He links the defensive to midfield and starts attacks. He's the midfielder who brings the likes of Osman, Pienaar and Arteta into the game to create.

Fair point, but with the X million for fernandes we then need a ball winner as I think Carsley simply doesnt cover enough ground to support him/wipe his arse.

Agreed. Ball winner is a priority in my opinion. I'd still look at getting a player like Fernandes's style whether its him or not. We do need someone capable of linking defense to attack. It does stop alot of aimless hoofs upfield.

I'm all for keeping him but Valencia is nuts if they think we'll make a guy who has trouble cracking lineup our all time biggest transfer.

Would go to 5-6M. Here's guessing that his asking price drops quick.
