seen that this morning, there’s no info about the story, no material analysis or anything. I think the article is probably right, an artist or somebody just left it there. It’s in a desert so if it was old it wouldn’t be rusted but there’s absolutely no markings on it or any of it covered by sand which would imply it was put out there pretty recently. Looks like somebody just copied 2001: A Space Odyssey
