The rain, it raineth every day
Anyone got a map of 50's Liverpool that I can find the route of the 19 bus ? I remember coming back from town and we had to sometimes get off the bus because it had too many passengers to walk up to the corner and then get back on ! It was somewhere by the collegiate if I remeber correctly .

It is the road that was so steep at the back of the school that I cannot remember. I was talking to the wife about having to get off as the bus couldn't cope and how powerful diesel engines are now .
Cracked it I think it was Village street . We used to walk to town from Walton with my mate's dad window shopping for ages then catch the 19/19a back just for the hill and getting off the bus to push and then having to run to scramble back on before the bus gained speed ,oh the simple life .
When we didn't worry about what to eat we just devoured anything in front of us ,a butty had cheese or crisps on it or sometimes brawn which I loved .
