And this is it. I mean, all allies have serious disagreements - but they do it behind closed doors for a reason. This was a public execution of Ukraine, decorum, the western "alliance", and of American hegemony.

If anything good has come out of it, it is that there can be no doubts now that America is no longer an ally of progressive Europeans. The Orbans, PiS in Poland, Fico, and the other headbanging troglodytes need to be excised from the EU. To quote a man who looks almost statesmanlike now by comparison, Dubya, "you're either with us or you're agin us."

Surely you'll agree if UK Storm shadows are landing on Russian soil that this will emboldened him and certainly up the ante in terms of what he sees as an appropriate response?

Am not taking about him triggering Article 5 but I personally think you'll see gorilla tactics from Russia increase to a level we've not seen.
