Lets have a debate about Phil and the pros and cons and why he Moyes pet?

We win more when he in the team? does he calm the players down, do the players perfer Neville in the team?

He ability on the ball is shocking, in this era shouldnt a midfieder have more to his belt then leadership? when will moyes ween him out?

He can win the ball, but his passing his shocking, and get away with murder.

Calm on the ball
Versatile (ish)
Big match experience
Leadership...manager on the pitch...blah blah

Negatives
Offers nothing going forward
Not getting any younger
Stifles our play sometimes.

I think I am one of the few who don't mind neville - model pro and have a lot of time for him. Just can't help imagining what we would be like with fellaini and gibson in the middle coupled with a flair player off jelavic.

He's our captain and I stand by him, even when he has the odd rotten game such as at the weekend. Captain Phil has my complete and utter faith, respect and admiration.

And he's got more medals than Steve Gerrard to boot!

The problem with us is when we play without him we really do lack a leader on the pitch. Jags has got no where near the pointing capabilities of Neville and it shows.

Nah, lacking in technical ability? Maybe slightly, but his athletic ability keeps him up to speed with most players around him. He clearly(?) has leadership skills.

Better than Joe Allen, for sure.
