I do it daily.
Sometimes 2-3 times if the Mrs is out.
Blair Atholl and Pitlochry stunning.Been that way for mini breaks but not done any hill walking up there. The scenery is fabulous, as you say, so I imagine well worth a trip.

Any favourites?
I usually do my first walk of the year around Derwent Water and Cat Bells. Plenty of good pubs en route and you can skip Cat Bells if the weather is bad.
How do you keep managing to reply to me when you have me on ignore?2 and a half?
There's a good walk around Langdale starting from Dungeon Ghyll towards High Raise. Circular walk, takes about 7 hours if you're ambling.Hmm it’s not a difficult one but I love doing Langdale Pikes whenever I get the chance. Cat Bells is a nice walk.
Fell running is bonkers. I can't watch anyone doing it, makes me nervous.Got three day stay booked in July walking and running around Buttermere.
The landscape / fells around there are less “ green “ and more bleak.
I wanted to go there as it’s less touristy, having done all the usual stuff in the past - Cat Bells, Old Man, Helvelyn etc.
It’ll be a mix of fell running one day and waking the next.
Can’t wait.

Been up Bennachie.
It's not far from were i live.
Quite busy tbh.
Visitor Centre at the bottom not always open put the toilets are (handy when you get older).
Funnily enough I don't mind running down hill in less steep parts of mountains as I think 'let gravity do the work' but running the whole thing seems a step too far for me lolIt looks worse than it is and coming down can be the hard part, rather than going up, especially when it’s wet.
The right shoes / gear is essential though and I never go out without a running back pack, full waterproofs, gloves, hat, energy bars / gels / fully charged mobile, whistle etc.
It’s really just speeded up walking, but with more stamina / fitness required.
