Waiting for Godot

That's a good read. A key phrase for me is "...the vision of how the club wants to move forward..." I'm not at all sure we have one, which, for me, is shocking. For years I've wanted to hear some sort of manifesto from Everton, that states the type of club we are and how we go about things.

In Waiting for Godot, Becket gives a perfect description of a life supporting the Blues. If I remember rightly, it goes something like:
"Birth astride of a grave, the light gleams for an instant, then it's night once more"

Concisely put...

Indeed.

Sammy Beckett was a Blue

And one doesn’t get this level of erudition on other football forums ;)

Clicked on this genuinely thinking it was to do with the delightful Wonder woman actress having misread the title.

I would wait as long as required for miss Gadot.

A good article Catcher, as usual, though I disagree with you about wanting Silva to come.

His record in England does not stand up to much scrutiny IMO.

Hopefully Waiting for Silva has the same outcome as Beckett’s eponymous character.

The whole point of the play is.....Vladimir and Estragon wait all day but Godot never comes ;)
Theatre of the absurd. Quite appropriate I think.
