Very dissapointing to be honest, I didn't know people where sending the man death threats. Asking him reasonable questions is okay but death threats is badly out of order.

I think its well out of order for anyone to make threats against anyone at the club no matter who they are. Its good to see that everyone on here has the same opinion and a shame that some people feel the need to go down that route.

I really hoped he would reply as I wanted to know for definate if he had spoken in the Portuguese press about our bid for Moutinho. My next question if he had would have been 'how come the club (yourself and Wyness when he was here) are happy to discuss this transfer in the Portuguese press, but not inform the supporters of our club about such things.

Never mind it was a long shot anyway.

Something tells me if you had emailed him before a certain website decided too put up his responses to them. He would've answered your questions to the best of his ability.

I've emailed him before and have been satisfied with the response I have had previously.

ditto to all of that.

The thing is tho, if he or someone at the club gave us a straight answer in the first place, he wouldn't be receiving hate mail. It is completely out of order threatening him and his family, but it has to be said, he is kinda bringing it on himself (as well as the club as a whole), with the constant lies and lack of clarity regarding every aspect of EFC at the moment. I know they cant/wont give specific details regarding transfers, money etc but they could atleast give us some kind of reasurrance that it hasnt gone belly up, regarding whatever financial backing we have. IMO

No idea what other clubs do, but plenty of companies have representatives in their customer communities. General Motors have half a dozen staff purely to monitor social media and interact with forums such as this.

Obviously with things such as transfers there may be limited scope for them to say much as the club will rightly want negotiations to remain private, but for general customer service and showing fans that the club is interested in them there is a whole lot of scope for improvement.

It's basically a brand management thing. It's well known that an unhappy customer tells many more people about their experiences than a happy one does, and that communication often happens away from official communication channels. So it's kinda no brainer for companies to put people out into those communities and take a proactive approach to customer support, because people are going to talk regardless of whether you're there or not, surely it makes sense to try and manage the situation as much as possible.

I agree. But like you've said and I've mentioned they're not going to

A) say anything against a statement a club has put out and will reiterate what has been already been said
B) answer anything about finances, transfers, personnel etc
C) talk about what the board is doing

Which seems to be the bulk of the questions

WTF :o:o:o:o:o:o:o

Your right, someone might have put a huge bet on it. The bookies have [Poor language removed] an suspended betting till they know more.

I [Poor language removed] hope so. My arse is giving morse code out right now.

They have probably taken a large bet, so re-evaluating his odds. If he was going to leave in the very near future, why not suspend the whole market

Let's be honest they've got big odds on Moyes leaving 33/1 so for every £5 that's put on moyes to go you will get £165 back.

I think that's a bargain given the situation we're in at the moment, obviously some people have seized their chance while the odds are good I don't think Moyes will go but I wouldn't blame him if he does.

The odds were 33-1 on coral earlier today, the joint 4th longest odds in the league. They dont think he's going otherwise his odds would have been much shorter, the reason they have stopped taking bets is because a shed load of people are watching ssn and reading on the internet all these caaarazzzay rumours puting 2+2 together and coming up with 10, thinking everthing they read is true, having a dabble and now have got even the bookies thinking wtf is going on maybe he is off, we cant afford to pay out x amount of people at 33-1 stop taking bets on it. They know [Poor language removed] all, like we all do, face it everyone is shitting their pants over one twisted quote in the echo. Its nonsense.

yep i think the thing is to watch the other bookies odds to see if they shorten more.they went from 66-1 to 16-1 yesterday.
if it ends up that only coral have stopped taking then its becouse of a huge bet only with them.
