If a mate had paid for Proton which countries or features would they focus on for enhanced performance.

The rule of thumb used to be go to the country closest and try that but if Proton has a lot of UK customers using France then that server won't perform well so try other countries. People just swap between servers and settle on one or two as their "go to" countries. I tend to use Austria then Switzerland.

I only want UK TV access from geo locking channels so I'm leaning towards Nord only because they appear to have more servers in the UK. Difficult choices though.

I think Nord will do the trick. For most people, VPN will not really matter as long as it works and Nord is pretty reputable.

Have you considered iptv? Has all the UK terrestrial channels and loads more.

I'll probably stick with the UK channel apps,if I get too much choice I'd never get away from the TV. If BBC hadn't geo-locked Sounds doubt I'd have thought of a VPN

My VPN just shows the fastest speed & I go with that .... on Surfshark .....

You can set it to just go on when your using certain apps and bypass others saves you messing about.
Best leaving it on does no harm as long as its not slowing you down.

Get there email as well, its very secure and free.
Surfshark are giving an extra 3 months if someone referred you they get 6 months as well.
Been using it for years never had a problem.
You can share it as well as it has lots of device spots available.
If you go on eBay you can pick Mcfee for buttons easy to activate ect.
It works fine and has added stuff for your mobile I have it as a backup on my phone because I like how easy it is to use.

….i purchased NORD to help me access my betting accounts whilst on holiday. Can’t remember how much I pay, I can get on most firms but not all when I’m away. It’s not like I’m betting daily but I like to have access in case a good Cheltenham offer comes along.

NORD is fine for my purposes, I’ve literally just got home from Kos and switched it off because I don’t need it at home. Didn’t know VPN is used for anything else.
