But you also stated Digne was good last season and it was the Benitez luvvies who've since created a false narrative. I'm no fan of Benitez, but my feeling was that Digne's been poor for a while, and so getting a decent fee for him and reinvesting in a younger player is a model we should be pursuing. I don't, however, think we should be looking to move him on mid-season, leaving us with a complete unknown quantity as his replacement just because RB can't swallow his pride.
