Never seen this lad play, hadn’t even heard of him until last weekend when we were linked with him. It looks nailed on that Digne is on his way out, that’s a pity, it would have been better if the new lad had the rest of this season as Digne’s back up, whilst he settled in.

The fee seems quite high for a 22 year old from that league, can we get a work permit for him ok at that fee? One good thing about it, there may not be enough money left for Longstaff how, as a first choice right back is the glaring need. I hope they have someone lined up for that, the thought of Coleman and Kenny as our only right backs until the summer does not fill me with joy. Kenny looked a better option than Coleman last night, but, he really isn’t good enough.

Anyway welcome son and good luck at the blues, you’ve a lot to live up to after our last 2 first choice left backs.

Don't understand why you would do all the money on a left back when the manager anchors his full backs to the half way line.

Looks an awful lot of money to me. But the clips I've seen, which I am sure you've all watched as well, he looks athletic, tall and decent going forward.

I'll reserve judgement, but it's certain he is replacing Digne.

It's a lot of money for a club without any money. It's a shame Digne is disillusioned with the club but if we can offload at a decent fee it might work out. It does however feel like we're continuing the trend of shipping off our best players and replacing them with not so good players. Managed decline.

guessing the cost will be spread out over a number of years. If it's over the length of the contract it'll possibly be 5m a year so that's not bad business.
