2025/26 Vitalii Mykolenko

Dunno why he had such a bad lapse in concentration for that second Wolves goal. Not usually like him..

Did think he linked up well with Grealish throughout though. Seems a bit more comfortable whilst he's around.
He was scared stiff of using his right foot to clear the ball and his delay to let it come onto his left to sweep behind lets the Wolves player take the chance.

He only had to move 2 yards towards the ball and welly it with his right foot and danger is cleared.

I don’t say this to criticise mykolenko but it does make me laugh when people act like if you miss 3 days of training you have to be classed as ‘coming back from injury’ for the next 6 months.

I do totally get what you're saying, but I do wonder if he comes back while still partially carrying an injury. It seems to take him time to get back up to speed. Maybe he just needs some games to get into his rhythm.

He needed to mark the player and worry less about the ball.

Watching him come off the pitch in clear pain holding his groin tells me a lot. He’s one tough lad. I thought he was back early. Those can take weeks to heal. It might be that Moyes knew just how important getting an away three points was and told Mykolenko if there was any way he could do it the club needed his services. Just a guess. But playing Mansfield Town and a spirited Wolves are very different. He was a bit exposed today. Again, I’m not worried. Getting Branthwaite back tidies up a lot of mistakes from today.

This. We have seen him playing through injury before (the first half season he came to us) and he looked well off the pace.

Tarkowski did the same last season I think (possibly the season before) when he played through a back injury and he looked well off it. Which is making me question whether he has rushed back early because branthwaite got injured as well.

Hopefully a few weeks break now will do them the world of good.

Everyone does

Bit like Branthwaite at centre half, when you have someone around you who you can trust it brings the best out of you. At least that's what my therapist tells me

Was fine except for that 2nd, he wasn’t the only offender on that one either
Where was he for the first ? showing Keane's lack of pace to cover for him .... 2nd two of them ball watching Wolves had 3 shots today & scored 2 & it was a bad Wolves team - our defence without Brathwaite is poor - Only O'Brien looked solid today the rest of the team were magic - Pickford had very little to do & conceded two goals -

DM needs a right back & more left back cover IMO -

Not for Moyes though. He'll play Mykolenko no matter how much he stinks the place out.

He did the same with Hibbert who was also limited...although Hibbert was head and shoulders above Mykolenko like.
Your having ago at manager only play what he's got FFS Dave

People are missing (u/nless I am mistaken) that Mykolenko with his right foot , hit the crossfield ball from midfield that Jack nodded back for Beto to score from.
Moyes and flexiblity. Some lads need to have a check.
