Should not be a starting left back as a squad player he'd be able to contribute something
We’ve been doing that since the “reset” and again now with Keane, Tarks and now Myko.Giving a contract to a player who is not the required standard who we would struggle to sell is even worse though.
Unless his wages are absolutely stupid we really shouldn't struggle to sell him. A 27 year old with 150 PL games, a load of European experience and over 50 international caps is going to be a good signing for a lot of clubs. I want better as our starting left back but he's not an awful player in the grand scheme of things.Giving a contract to a player who is not the required standard who we would struggle to sell is even worse though.
