He has been close to outstanding defensively in recent games. And he keeps getting better (as long as he keeps his pace up) Some of his stuff is as classy and gritty as you wanna defender to be.

The issue with Myko imo is hes a LCB in a three CB - ideally. One step to the left and hes not good enough in attack. One step to the right and hes a little undersize and behind a queue of top CBs. Myko - JB - JOB on the other hand...

The days of Baresi and Puyol CB types have all but gone. Is Myko a contemporary waiting for the right set up. Not saying hes near those two but hes closer to them than closer to what some think of him on here.

I never thought I’d see Mykolenko and Baresi in the same sentence but there you go.

The lad is way way below average for the league.

I feel he is sometimes decent defensively and puts a good tackle in but too often loses his man behind him.

We need to upgrade on him and I said the other day, he's alright as a squad option.

Barry's missing sitters and Myko clearing sitters but yeah their both cack.
We'd be raving about Barry if he scores some of em but silence for Myko.

Left back beaten at the far post. Not the first time won’t be the last time that happens. He actually points to George to track the runner which he didn’t do. Not saying he wasn’t at fault there but overall our short comings are the strikers. Barry’s missed two sitters there. The last one would have put us 2-0 up.

he can be serviceable at defense but he's not perpetually sound and what puzzles me is that he isn't that he doesn't possess that significant of a physical presence which is supposedly the reason Moyes opts not to play Aznou
