On a day like today he's defended well bar his moment of unluckiness but he's still a bit of a disaster going forward and crossing. The involvement for the goal was good but he's a hopeless crosser.

He's worth having around next season, especially if we somehow end up in Europe and need the squad numbers.

He has always been fantastic defensively. But a modern day full back needs to do both.

I hope so. His lack of attacking threat, particularly in home games, is a big problem.

Definitely. He's absolutely fine as a squad option and we need to improve on him.

I've often thought he's one of the weakest players in the team but yesterday he did well for our first goal and that clearance where they nearly scored.

Vitalii was unlucky with regard to the OG: let's remember that he was back trying to defend our goal.
Unless, of course, we think it was deliberate.

Also, I don't agree that you can 'score' an OG goal in such circumstances. It was an unintended deflection from Jordans clearance.

Would we rather he be absent from trying to defend?

We’ll see. Twice he combined with a player further ahead of him. He seems comfortable progressing the ball himself or through others, the latter of which we haven’t seen much of this season.
