For my 40th birthday, my wife got me tickets to the derby and West Ham in February/March (and I'm looking to pick up Villa tickets). I've never been to the mothership, so I was looking for any advice on places to stay, places to go pre-match for a drink, or any other good Everton experiences I shouldn't miss. Any help is appreciated and while I'm here, I'll see if I can talk Howard into going back to MLS.

Plenty of city centre hotels for every pocket, more bars than you can shake a stick at.

Re Villa tickets, check if Thomas Cook still do ticket hotel package, we did, very happy, no problems

Don't want to cause you any unrest, but it could still very well be that the Merseyside derby will be rescheduled. There is a certain final being played at Wembley during that weekend.

Wow, I think I just Evertoned my Everton trip? Look forward to my selling derby tickets thread in the future. Maybe just maybe, I'll have the consolation of being able to watch (and dare to dream) and win a final.
