Really wish he had been signed when he was still in Scotland because I think even back then it was obvious he was probably a better player than Stones l.

berahino's only just moved to stoke (and not exactly done much yet) - before, when he was possibly available on a cheap, it wouldn't have been the worst move, but now he's back up at £20m, he's not worth it for me. Not good enough for backup either, only 3rd choice.

My original post was before berahino moved to stoke. I think there is a talent in there, a full pre season should do the lad a world of good, but as you say not for 20m.
 

I still have a strange feeling that although there are going to be loads of clubs in for him that he is going to end up with us. I know its unusually positive but I can actually see us signing both this lad and keane, which will sort our centre halfs out for years with holgate and williams providing cover/being the third man in a back three.
 
Mattia Perin as suffered another injury hasn't he ? Shame as I really wanted him. I guess for age, we could look at areola or Lafont.

More secure, cheaper, short term options would still be Hart, Ruffier or Sirigu.
