Shouldn't be in football
It has helped Tennis, rugby, & cricket...
No reason it should not help Football...

I prefer football as it is. I was against goal line technology aswell..
My line of thought is the more possession & attacks a team has the more likely that team will gain from VR for example the stronger the team the more attempts on goal & more action in the opposing penalty area are likely.
...and also add half an hour to the game time......At the moment it is to be used for limited things. I would like it to eventually go the way it works in Rugby Union where the video ref can flag up any incident missed by the on field officials.
In theory it should cut out a lot of the cheating.
Would not add any time to game as it is simply stopped and go back to awarding free kick at point of incident....and also add half an hour to the game time......
I take the point on fairness. But why should we ordinary fans be concerned for those wealthy individuals who have put their money into the game? I don't give if a toss if a poor decision ends up costing Abromavich. Nor for that matter if it hurts a club backed to the hilt by sponsors. So what? We all seem to have forgotten that football is a sport. Sports provide the rough with the smooth. We get emotionally attached to it. But surely none of us get depressed when financial backers get a financial hit.I think it will enhance the experience once we all get used to it, will add to the panto side of things and at the end of the day if it makes things more fair then surely it can't be bad, there is so much money at stake these days.
The biggest benefit for me would be the ex RS. Pundits on MOM would have less to talk about.
Why?! Goal-line technology hasn't changed the flow of the game in any way. All it has done is made sure teams are correctly awarded or disallowed goals.
It was part of football i thought just leave everything as it was.
A lot of things were once 'part of football' but no longer are. The game and the technology in it has evolved and generally for the better. I cannot for the life of me think why goal-line technology can be seen as anything other than a positive.
Which of these would make you happier?
1) Drawing a game where the ball is incorrectly given as over the line by the ref in favour of the opposition.
2) Winning a game after GLT is used to correctly rule out a goal that hadn't crossed the line.
Technology is a good leveller in the sport. Teams like ours will benefit from it the most. The bigger teams will lose one of their unfair advantages.
