I wasn't overly keen on signing Obinna as Inter had just signed him and I thought we were only going to have him for a season. But according to the guardian there could be an option to buy him next summer which makes me happy. If this is the case what was the point in Inter signing him?

You can only co-own someone for so long. Probably the case of Inter buying Chievo's share to make a profit by selling him to us next season. Maybe Mourinho knows he can buy better and I doubt they have to sell if they don't want to come next July.

Agree, that this one can't be blamed on the club. Devastated though, as it feels like we were betrayed by the government.

Thinking about it though it was quite obvious he wasn't going to meet the criteria, he's only got 8 caps for Nigeria.

What you have to do is convince the government that he is a special talent, trying to sign him on loan isn't going to convince them. Utd got Anderson because they paid the money for him, showing that they really wanted the lad aswell.

Why didn't we just sign him permanantly, we are desperate for players. If we'd have offered the price for him instead of going for a stupid loan he would have been allowed to move here.

Utd got their man because they are Utd - we could have offered to line the streets of london with gold paving stones for the politicians to walk on or take home when they please - bottom line is we are Everton and we get Sod all from any organisation of authority in this country wether it be central or regional government, the FA or anyone else involved in the game.
