You have to wonder what Victor has to do to become accepted here, what level he has to play at to become a Premier League footballer in certain fans eyes. The way people go on you'd think every forward has the touch and vision of Wayne Rooney in this League.
He's a real handful, that is very clear, very few defences are capable of handling his sheer power and direct running. And you do need players like that, someone you can whack the ball upto under pressure and he'll pin a team back or bully them into submission. And Victor's learning all the time, he's spinning defenders and turning them unexpectedly and his play with his back to goal has come on dramatically. He's even starting to let loose with either foot from distance.
He's never going to be a natural goalscorer, he doesn't have that instinct, but he's got all the tools needed to be someone who supports a goalscorer or as wing forward as he's been playing of late.
As for Vaughan, he's another talent but he's in the last chance saloon, I think Moyes will give him one more chance with a loan deal. He has to prove his fitness week in week out. The talent is definitely there, of that I have no doubt.
