Phil Neville Superstar

Player Valuation: £35m
Next year is crucial for both of these players. Could be sold in the summer possibly? I would gladly take a few million for Vaughan (if we can get that) considering his proneness to injury. We should hang on to Vic, got the potential I think. One of the better performers at the Brittania today :)

Think that Vaughan will be sold. He has been loaned out twice now and want to stay at Leicester if he can. Not sure we will get much for Vaughan but he is injury prone and a hot head.

Victor will stay, Moyes likes him and I think that he has the potential. Just a case of getting games under his belt. Will be a big year for him with Saha getting older and the Yak at the WC.

I'd cash in on both, for the reasons stated for vaughan, and tbh I think he'd be happy to go so as to be playing.
I'd sell vic though cos for me he just doesn't cut it, when he gets on he just doesn't grab the bull by the horns, he seems content to keep trying to get free kicks and throwing his arms out, there were times yesterday when he should've been heading down the wing to latch onto through balls from Baines, he didn't and it was plain to see that's what Baines was wanting. For what he offers I'm sure we could have someone else that would do a better job.

I'd keep the pair of them. I've always preferred Vaughan over Anichebe. A couple of years ago he looked the business. I'm sure that once he regains form and fitness he'll be terrorising defenders again.

Vic has really impressed me recently with the way he's taken the game to the opposition and unsettled them. Maybe he's better off as a wideman rather than a striker? If Moyes decides that's the position for him, then I'm sure they'll do some work with him on movement and crossing.

Neither of them have quite established themselves yet, but they haven't had an awful lot of playing time either. Vic's versatility and presence probably puts him infront for making the breakthrough.

Let's face it. Who else would be willing to bide their time behind Saha and Yakubu for the sole striking berth?

You have to wonder what Victor has to do to become accepted here, what level he has to play at to become a Premier League footballer in certain fans eyes. The way people go on you'd think every forward has the touch and vision of Wayne Rooney in this League.

He's a real handful, that is very clear, very few defences are capable of handling his sheer power and direct running. And you do need players like that, someone you can whack the ball upto under pressure and he'll pin a team back or bully them into submission. And Victor's learning all the time, he's spinning defenders and turning them unexpectedly and his play with his back to goal has come on dramatically. He's even starting to let loose with either foot from distance.

He's never going to be a natural goalscorer, he doesn't have that instinct, but he's got all the tools needed to be someone who supports a goalscorer or as wing forward as he's been playing of late.

As for Vaughan, he's another talent but he's in the last chance saloon, I think Moyes will give him one more chance with a loan deal. He has to prove his fitness week in week out. The talent is definitely there, of that I have no doubt.

As combinations, I think Saha-Anichebe and Vaughan-Yakubu might work best. When Saha and Yakubu have been on the pitch together they've looked like they've been on completely different wavelengths. The two youngsters together would be too lightweight. Vic could do a lot of the heavy work for Saha, leaving him free to poach the ball in his wake. Vaughan would add finesse and pace to Yak's power.

I agree fully with all of this.

That's why I was surprised when Reidy said about Anichebe taking stick at the game, I thought he was by some distance our best player on the pitch, likewise when he came on last week as a sub. There is still plenty of room for his to fail and get sold on but at the moment he makes the most of his attributes which although not as considerable as some still make him very difficult to play against. If the coaches can keep on developing him, and he has the attitude to go with it, then we have someone who at worst is a very useful impact sub. He can play on the wing or up front too, versatility that Moyes likes.

I have always like Vaughan a great deal, he is aggressive and just nets. We'll see what happens in the summer as Toccy said he is on last chance saloon. Ideally I'd like him to be loaned out next season before any decision is made as if he could keep his knee glued on then he is a talent.

Anyway, Moyes will do what's best no doubt.

Vic has turned up and has developed every year. He looks like a prem player and so far this season he's come on and changed games. Scored, assists, play more than 1 position, runs at defenders, strong, gets involved, scored in europe, players for his national team: vic should be given more praise than he's got. He was the best player yesterday ahead of seasoned pros (cahill, arteta), world class strikers (Saha), and medal winners (Neville) who should be showing vic how it's done. Big vic fan and he should be integral to the squad next season.

As for Vaughan.. Done nothing compared to vic. Sorry, he hasn't and it's not gonna change. He's supposed to be fit but barely plays on loan. Need to get rid. Harsh but true. Things wouldve changed by now, they haven't. It's nt worked out, cut lose and work on another kid to come through. Compared to vic he's done very little in the same time span. He can't play 45 minutes

Dont rate either of them anymore, neither are the 17 year old players who broke thru anymore. Vic is an ego freak with a huge chip on his shoulder and James is made of paper, sell them both, cancel contracts, but get them both out of My club, waste of a wage, VDM would be proud.

Vics clearly shown he's a useful player. He's a player that will give the team a boost when needed cos of his directness, he's also a player that can easily start a game and do a job, drive the team ( which he has done as a sub to be fair) as a squad player when injuries hit.

Vaughans a waste now. Too injury prone. If we bought him people would be slating him.

Vics developed every season. He needs a season on loan for a full season to round his game. Other than that, he's a £6mill+ player that cost us nothing that needs polishing.

They're the only 'direct runners' we have in the whole squad. Would be folly to allow them to leave, unless we were offered silly money (£7m+ for either).

I'd love to know why Victor was an ego freak with a huge chip on his shoulder? Sir David Moyes seems to like him, and he actually knows the lad. Because he's not your stereotypical headless chicken?

As for Vaughan, he's not on a huge wage and he clearly has talent. Kenadablue, how old was Leon Osman when he came through? 23 my friend, and he's now a key figure for the side after an injury hit few years. What about Louis Saha? Another player who proven that supposed injury prone players can get over there problems.

It's got to be his last chance but I have no doubts Moyes will give him another chance to prove himself. Simply because of his talent and attitude towards the game. We have very little to lose and we wouldn't get much money for him anyway, if anything at all.

I'd only sell them if it went to a key 1st team player. Thing with someone like vic who in my mind should be rated around £6mill, and he's willing to wait on the bench and play as a squad player. Bringing someone else in is either gonna be an expensive squad player or a key 1st teamer
